The Pirates Didn’t Count on the Stowaways

Sea Legs by Alex Shearer

A very humorous and fun story.

Recommended age: 12 – 14; 14 – 16; 16 – 18

Two boys, tired of being shuffled off to their grandparents’ house, attempt to stowaway on an ocean liner to be with their dad, who is the Senior Steward. Onboard, they sample all that life on a ship has to offer, but when pirates attack, they are the only ones that can stop the thieves.  The story is told from the viewpoint of the older brother who continually colors the truth to make his younger brother look bad.
